Group Name: PEOPLE WHO CARE

Subject: CREATING A CARING ONLINE COMMUNITY TOGETHER

Thank you for reviewing my invitation! Let me tell you a little bit about the
"People Who Care" meeting on Ecunet.I spend a lot of time on Ecunet. If you are
reading this invitation, it's very possible that you spend a lot of time here
too! It is my opinion that Ecunet is at its best when we are helping other
people, so I've created this meeting for the people on Ecunet "who care."Ecunet
needs your help in 2002, and I am hoping this meeting can be the place where I
can introduce myself to you, and you to me. Then together with others on Ecunet
"who care," we can all make this year the best ever for our unique online
community.I would appreciate your involvement in the three initiatives below.
While I am sure there are other initiatives that will increase the quality of
care we could be offering at Ecunet, I wanted this meeting to at least help
further the following:1) Marketing - better communicate Ecunet's benefits to
non-members. I'd like us to be known as a "caring" community.2) Content - help
develop material and resources on Ecunet that meets a variety of needs.3)
Fundraising - increased charitable giving to Ecunet and identifying potential
grant giving organizations. This will be used for new technical development, to
cover the cost of marketing initiatives, and to help pay for overhead not
covered by subscriber fees.If you decide to join this meeting, please introduce
yourself and tell me what benefit you get from Ecunet. Please also send me a
picture of yourself in a digital format, such as "jpg" or "gif," but avoid
posting the picture to the meeting and instead send it to my personal address
Brian.Lang@Ecunet.org. (If you don't have a digital picture, send me a personal
email and I will give you my address so you can mail me a picture and I'll turn
it into a digital format for you.)I've created a web page on the Ecunet home
site for the "People Who Care." In fact, you can see those who have already
joined this meeting by going to http://www.ecunet.org/care.html . Please note
that if you introduce yourself and/or send a picture, I assume you are granting
permission to publish your words and likeness on the Ecunet site. Of course, I
will not include email addresses or any other contact information. If you do
not wish to have your words or likeness published, please let me know when you
introduce yourself, I'd still like to get to know you!I would like this meeting
to help improve the quality of the Ecunet community, not be a place for
complaints about what we don't like at Ecunet. Complaints or technical
assistance could be better served in the meeting "Ecunet Help."In conclusion,
when you introduce yourself, please include your name, vocation, denomination,
favorite meetings, and any other pertinent information. Then keep in mind that
sharing ideas in this meeting is good, but sharing ideas that you can help
execute is even better!Brian LangEcunet Business Administrator
